Wave Simulator

I thought the wave simulator was really cool. It's as if it's a smaller version of a real beach.

It’s like our own mini lab, where we can just experiment with some of the same stuff that we did at the beginning of the unit in class. What I learned from the wave simulator is mostly about the frequency and the amplitude of the wave. This is because the frequency and the amplitude of the wave are adjustable on the wave simulator. The more amplitude there is the higher the wave is from the ground and the larger the wave is. Next, I was able to add barriers. This was very cool, and it looked kind of like the test we did with the clay barriers in class. They were very small ripples and very small waves. On the wave simulator, however, it seemed like the waves went through the barriers a bit. You could see tiny ripples on the surface past the barriers, while when we did it in class, that area of water was completely calm.
